The Quest to Find My Group

Today I was assigned with the task of trying to find a group to work with for my latest project. I was excited about the project because it was a 30 second commercial on an item of my choice. When I was first told that I was able to select my group I had no idea who I wanted to work with. I did not really think about who I would want to work with because I was taking notes making sure I can make my commercial the best it can be. Then when I was given some time to go decide which group I wanted to work in and I was still struggling to find someone because I did not know who would and who would not complete their part of the project. After talking to some of the people in class and some of my friends, I decided to choose some people that I felt are hard workers and that can get their part of the project done. Thankfully those people sat close to me and I already knew them. Those people were Ariel Pickhotlz, Juan Baca, and Monzur Mohosin. Although these people have been my friends for a while, I decided to work with them because I know they will do their own part and make sure to say something if they feel something could be improved. Some of us have worked together before to get projects done so we know that we can work together to do the best possible. Once we all agreed to work together we then made sure that everyone had each others contact info and we began to brainstorm our product of choice. Wen then made sure that each of us had everything set up for our blogs, the project, and the notes for the day. We were not able to come up with a final decision at the time but we have kept in contact and are still trying to find our product. We have decided that each person will come up with one product on their own and have a pitch for a commercial and then we will present it to the group. After we do our small presentation to the group, we can vote on who's idea we want to go with and any changes that we would make to benefit the commercial. We felt this to be the best way that we could pick our topic because we would all have a say in what we thought was the best choice and then pitch it to everyone how they do it in massive film companies. After we watched the Toy Story storyboard in class, that gave us the idea that we each think of something and pitch it because there may not have been something we thought about ourselves. Overall we got a lot of the small things out of the way with the little time we were given. We are prepared and ready for next class with making our storyboard.
