  1.      How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?  The product that I used for my commercial which was the Apple AirPod’s Pro challenged conventions by using people that are not professional actors. The actors in the commercial were just ordinary people that are not used to doing things within film. It also challenges conventions because it was made in a real world setting without having control of outside variables unlike most professional commercials that are props made to give it that specific setting or scenery. The product can represent some social groups because some believe that if you do not have these then you are considered “broke” which is not true, but it could represent them. Some issues that this can solve would be the issue that you are not able to carry a pair of earbuds with you and these would be able to allow someone to do that easily.  This concludes the commercial that I filmed with my group. I had a great time doing this project and I felt that I did a good job on it. Some of the things that I thought was a strong suit that I brought to the group was being able to adapt and quickly think of new things when we had to change things last second. I enjoyed all of the aspects of this project because of the people I was working with. They brought a lot of key ideas to the table and made the process of the entire thing smooth. I really liked doing all aspects of the commercial. The storyboard allowed us to all bring our vision to paper, the filming made us become closer friends, and editing made us laugh at what we did during filming. Some things that I found I needed to improve on was my acting skills. I felt that they could be better if I showed more emotion to the viewer instead of not showing any which may not make a connection to the reader. In the end, I would consider doing this again with the same people because

Today was the last day I was working on my commercial. Today we finished up all editing touches and made sure our commercial was ready to submit. My group and I did run into some issues today that took us some time to resolve. My group and I finally found a song that we thought was a good choice for the commercial so we added it into our editing. A new issues that arose today when we were editing is that on the final copy of the video the editing program we used added a watermark to the top right corner of the video. We could not find a way to remove this water mark without paying $3.99 for a premium subscription. We did not know what to do because we already edited all of the commercial and we just needed to export it. So, what we ended up doing is that we found a way to get the watermark removed with a 3 day free trial of this apps premium subscription. Today my group and I focused on beginning to edit our commercial.My role was to transfer all of the videos from the multiple devices we used all onto one device for the person who was using the computer to edit. After I got the videos sent to the person who was editing, I talked with them to review what he is going to do for the slides and transitions. While he was editing the slides, I spoke up and told him things that I thought we could have improved on. Whenever I had an opinion and felt that something needed to be changed, we then spoke about what was the best option to go for that specific edit. We spent most of the day doing this because we wanted it to best that we felt it could be. Then, my group and I got together to discuss the music that we were going to add because we felt that we needed to link it to what we were doing in the commercial. Today in class we had to scramble to get everything together for our film. We had to finish up our filming for our commercial. We had to review what scenes we had done and what scenes we needed to reshoot. Once we had done that, we went back to our location of the senior patio to reshoot our shots. We then ran into the issue that we were all wearing different outfits. So, we needed to reshoot some clips to have the other outfits. I am the main actor in the commercial and we decided to tie in the shirt I was wearing today to the song being played in the film. This caused some controversy in the group. Some felt that we should have reshot every scene to make sure it matched and others felt that it was fine to leave as is. Since I was wearing a blue shirt, we decided that it was okay to have me continue wearing it because the color blue is used to calm and overall is meant as a good feeling. During the film I play the song Good Feeling by Flo Rida so the meaning of the color blue and the
