Finishing Up Those Scenes

Today in class we had to scramble to get everything together for our film.
We had to finish up our filming for our commercial. We had to review what scenes we had done and what scenes we needed to reshoot. Once we had done that, we went back to our location of the senior patio to reshoot our shots. We then ran into the issue that we were all wearing different outfits. So, we needed to reshoot some clips to have the other outfits. I am the main actor in the commercial and we decided to tie in the shirt I was wearing today to the song being played in the film. This caused some controversy in the group. Some felt that we should have reshot every scene to make sure it matched and others felt that it was fine to leave as is. Since I was wearing a blue shirt, we decided that it was okay to have me continue wearing it because the color blue is used to calm and overall is meant as a good feeling. During the film I play the song Good Feeling by Flo Rida so the meaning of the color blue and the title of the song go together very well. We thought of this connection in the moment because we needed to act quickly because we felt it was not right if we were wearing different outfits in different scenes. After we decided on this re filmed specific scenes because my group partner Ariel was able to show up today so she was able to help us film. Following that, I then had to help another group to hold one of their props up because it required more than one person to hold. After that my group and I walked back to class and gathered all of our clips together to get it ready for editing. Once we had our clips together, we decided that it would be the easiest if Monzur was able to have sone of the video that we filmed. We all knew that we would help with the editing in some way, but having Monzur take the videos we shot and combine them together. This was an easy to do this instead of our phones because the user is more used to his computer than a cell phone. We then made sure that all of the filming that we did correctly corresponded with our storyboard to make sure it was accurate. The final thing that we decided on doing was making sure we wrote down all of the different types os editing styles we needed to implement based on our storyboard and what we felt would fit best. We then used this sheet to give to Monzur to make adjustments as needed so we could review them Wednesday.

Today was the first day that I planned to film. It started off according to plan where I met the people that I would be filming with at their house to pick them up and get ready to film. We then headed back to my house to gather all of the supplies needed for the film. I then checked the weather forcast and saw that it was supposed to rain in two hours. Which gave us just enough time to start filming at one of the locations. I thougth we would have time and then it would start raining and it would all be okay. But, as we headed to the filming location it started to rain super badly. But, because of where I live you can usually wait 15 minutes and it will go away. Hi there, my name is Aaron Shaffer and I am a student at Fort Lauderdale High School. I am 16 years old and in my third year of high school. Over the years, through the opportunities I have been able to receive, I have been able to achieve a lot academically. One of those achievements was being able to be a part of the Cambridge program at Fort Lauderdale High School which has allowed me to take multiple college level classes that are allowing me to receive credits, scholarships, and more that I would not have been able to receive otherwise.
