The Big Decision for This Project

Today I had to choose if I was going to work with others or by myself for my final filming project of the year. I originally felt it would be best to work in a group with people I knew were productive and I knew they would do their part to help out. I also felt that the more people that work on it, the much better the project could be. I felt that it would be a better product if I was going to work with others who can all give their input towards the project. So, I went around and asked a few people I knew I could trust and I was glad to work with. Some people that I asked said yes and some people said that the group they had was already full. After that, I told one of the groups that I will work with them but if I find another group that said yes then I would work with them. The ones that said yes were not my top three picks which is why I told them that. I felt if I was going to work with other people I should make the best of it and choose people I felt comfortable doing this project with. So, I asked a few more people and they all had a full group. So knowing how the last time I worked with someone went and the issues I had then, I decided to just do the project on my own. At first, I thought that it would be an issue due to the amount of work I would be doing but I felt that I could do it. After having some time to self-reflect, I felt it was the better choice to work alone because I am able to control all of the aspects of the project, and if I want oth
er's input on how it is I can get that from others. So, I chose mainly to work on my own for freedom. The freedom to film and work on this whenever I want without having to work around multiple people's schedules felt very important to me because that was an issue I have had previously with other projects. I am still able to have others help me film and act which allows me to have an easier time because I am still able to do all of the work for it and still do everything that I can to make it great. I am able to bring an aspect that I want to the final product because I can work with people that flow well with me compared to people that may not work the best with me. The better that everyone can work together the better the overall product will be because there are no fights that break it up and make it that much better. In the end, the decision that needed to be made was the one that made it the best for me. That is why I chose to work alone on this project because I felt it was the best thing that could make my short film the best it could be.

Today was the first day that I planned to film. It started off according to plan where I met the people that I would be filming with at their house to pick them up and get ready to film. We then headed back to my house to gather all of the supplies needed for the film. I then checked the weather forcast and saw that it was supposed to rain in two hours. Hi there, my name is Aaron Shaffer and I am a student at Fort Lauderdale High School. I am 16 years old and in my third year of high school. Over the years, through the opportunities I have been able to receive, I have been able to achieve a lot academically.
