The Final Title Design

Font: The font style that I decided to go with for my film was ariel, I went with this because as one of the fonts because it is bold and larger than other fonts. Another one I went with was Georgia. I went with this one because it gives a formal tone to the font and allows the reader to realize that this is a bit more soft, formal, and serious. 

Examples:

  • Ariel: This is Arial font
  • Georgia: This is Georgia font
Contrast: The titles will be either black or white. The reason for this is because the film will majority have color and not much black and white so it will always show compared to the background of the film. The size of it will be 20pt font so it doesn't take up most of the screen at the time but does allow the reader to be able to easily understand the title. 

Example: This is a Car 

Working Title: At this point, I believe the title of my film will be Mission Electric. I think this is a good title because of what is going on throughout the film and it describes the point that the film is trying to get across. 

The titles will enter and leave the screen in a couple different ways. One way is by fading in and out of the film with editing. Another way is just dropping in and then dissolving out. 

The titles will be on the screen as long as it is needed to show what the video is representing at the time. It could range from a few seconds so the viewer is able to read the entire title or it could go as long as an entire scene to show something.

Our Oddball Day to Filming

Today was the first day that I planned to film. It started off according to plan where I met the people that I would be filming with at their house to pick them up and get ready to film. We then headed back to my house to gather all of the supplies needed for the film. I then checked the weather forcast and saw that it was supposed to rain in two hours. Which gave us just enough time to start filming at one of the locations. I thougth we would have time and then it would start raining and it would all be okay. But, as we headed to the filming location it started to rain super badly. But, because of where I live you can usually wait 15 minutes and it will go away. Hi there, my name is Aaron Shaffer and I am a student at Fort Lauderdale High School. I am 16 years old and in my third year of high school. Over the years, through the opportunities I have been able to receive, I have been able to achieve a lot academically. One of those achievements was being able to be a part of the Cambridge program at Fort Lauderdale High School which has allowed me to take multiple college level classes that are allowing me to receive credits, scholarships, and more that I would not have been able to receive otherwise. Genre Research: Thriller

Common Camera Angles • High-angles are used to show what is being looked down on as powerless and weak. • Close-up shots are included to focus on the character’s reaction to a scene. • Tracking shots are used to show a character being watched or followed. • Tilted angels often are added to add dramatic tension in a scene. • Extreme long shots are used to show the setting and overall atmosphere of the place. • Low-angle shots are used to show a character having power and strength. • Point of view shots is included to capture the audience’s attention with what the character is seeing.
