Title Design Research: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

 1.     What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?

Titles were a large part of the opening scene of this film. They are used to show off all the actors that are shown throughout the movie. They are also shown in the film to convey the situation at hand to the viewer. These titles allow the viewer to know each actor’s position in the movie and where it is located. 

2.     What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?

Some images that are prioritized at the beginning of the scene are ones that show who the characters are. They are prioritized so the viewer knows who the characters in the movies are. Other images are prioritized to show the everyday life of the actors in the movie. 

3.     What connotation do these images carry?

The connotation that these images carry is that they want to represent a battle that is taking place between the characters in the movie. Other images show the connotation that these people are having to fight for their lives. These connotations allow the reader to understand what the meaning of the film is. 

4.     How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?

The film establishes a feeling of the genre by connecting the reader with suspense that can make the viewer gasp. It also does this by showing the conflicts that do take place which can allow the reader to see what the suspense is that they saw before. The film does this from the outset by first getting the viewer excited by showing all of the characters and the setting.

5.     What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience?

One of the strategies that the filmmakers used was their use of editing. They used to edit to show the characters and what they do. They also used pan shots to show the entire area that people were working in to get something done. They also used wide shots to complete the scenes that showed people moving about together to have everyone included in the scene. 

6.     How has technology been used effectively? 

Technology was used effectively throughout the film in many ways. Some ways were with the filming techniques that they used. Another way was with the editing tricks they used. They used morph transition to slowly go from one place to another.

Today was the first day that I planned to film. It started off according to plan where I met the people that I would be filming with at their house to pick them up and get ready to film. We then headed back to my house to gather all of the supplies needed for the film. I then checked the weather forcast and saw that it was supposed to rain in two hours. Which gave us just enough time to start filming at one of the locations. I thougth we would have time and then it would start raining and it would all be okay. Hi there, my name is Aaron Shaffer and I am a student at Fort Lauderdale High School. I am 16 years old and in my third year of high school.
