Beginning to Film

Today was the day I was actually able to begin to film. After not being able to film before due to weather conditions I was able to begin filming. I did the same thing as I did the day previously and I went to pick up all of the people that are going to be in the film. This time I gathered all of the props beforehand. We then all headed off to the filming location together just as before. Thankfully the weather was working well with us and it was not an issue we had to deal with. But, as we got to the filming location we ran into another issue. Due to the rise of tourists from spring break in my area, the parking lot I wanted to film in was very busy. This made it not possible for us to film at this location. Thankfully I had a backup plan which came in handy as that is now the main location for the film. The backup location was a grassy field at a nearby park which we headed over to. Thankfully once we got to that location it was dead empty and a great spot to film. At first, the location seemed like a great spot because it was sunny and was quiet. But as we filmed, the problem we ran into was that it was very windy and that made us have to retake some shots due to the wind making the audio unusable. We were also under a very busy flight path we found out while filming so we had to wait and retake shots due to helicopters and planes passing over. This made it a challenge to battle the flight path as well as the plane but it was not bad enough for us to not film then. Between the planes flying over, we were able to take the shots needed for the day. Our goal was to get the first three scenes done that day. This was accomplished greatly with multiple good takes of each scene that we could use for the film. Overall, this first day of filming went great and I cannot wait to continue filming another day.
