Continuing On The Film

Today was the day I continued to film. Today I wanted to film all of the shots that involved driving the cars as those would be the most tricky shots to film I felt. They would involve the area being quiet as well as having to be able to have a large space that was empty so other objects, people, or nature could not get in the way of the film. I decided going back to the location of the local park was the best idea as it kept it uniform with the other parts of the film. So, we went back to the park and began to film the scenes of driving. The driving shots needed to be re-done as I felt the cars needed to be close together but not close to the point where they were too close to each other. This made it so that it took a few takes for the final shot to be done to my standards. We then also ran into the issue of the planes flying over which made us retake a few shots until I realized this is where music will be inserted in the final film so it did not matter what the audio was. Today came with its own unique challenges compared to the first day of filming. Today the sun was just at the level where it blinded the camera at moments depending on which way it was pointed. Due to the camera majority following cars that were moving this became more of an issue than we had thought. So, to combat this we had to try a few different spots at the park to make sure one take was not blinded by the sun. We found the best way to get around this problem was to angle the camera down a bit so the sun seemed to be above the camera. This worked in some spots and did not in others because it seemed that the camera was pointed towards the ground. After we got the shots we were planning for that day, we then decided to continue filming some other shots since it did not take as long as the time we allotted to film that day. So, the scenes that we decided to film were the ones that showed the exterior of the cars since we were filming the cars moving before. So, we filmed the exterior shots of the cars where we found it to be simple and not complicated as the shots we took before. So, after we filmed those we decided to plan for our next day of filming. So, we planned the date, scenes we were going to take, and that it would be the last day of filming we would do. After all of that, it was time to leave as it was getting busier in the park and we were done filming for the day.
