Finishing Up Filming
Today was the last day I planned to film the rest of what I needed to make my film complete. As I did for the previous days of filming I made sure that everyone was available to film. Once that was done we all met up at the local park where we filmed all of the shots as we previously did. We all agreed we should memorize our lines for each scene the day before so we all made sure to do that and then we all put the props up in their respective locations. After doing that, we got to filming. While filming, we did not have the flight path issue that we did the other days. This is because the weather caused delays for planes but it was clear and great for us to film in. We then went and filmed the scenes that we needed the audio to be good for quickly before the flight path becasme an interruption because we did not know if it was going to start again or not. We had to film multiple takes of every scene because we never got it correct on the first few takes. So, we got those shots done so we moved on to shots that would have music overlayed so the audio did not matter. Those shots came out so bad that I did not want to see them another time or show them to anyone else in the group. So, I suggested how they could be a lot better to the group and they did those things. They turned out better but something did still seem off to me. They said it was because I did not pan the camera correctly and when they said that I realized it was that as well. So, once I did another take correctly with the camera it came out great. We then reviewed the takes we put to the side as good ones to make sure they were usable and we found that they were all good for editing in the final film. After that, we discussed some editing techniques that I could use for specific scenes that could bring a great aspect to the film. They gave some great ideas that I will definitely be implementing into my editing when the time comes. Now, I had to go and think about what I needed to do for editing as I would be doing that on my own. I cannot wait to begin the editing process to see how this film ends up.
