My Thoughts
1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? The product that I used for my commercial which was the Apple AirPod’s Pro challenged conventions by using people that are not professional actors. The actors in the commercial were just ordinary people that are not used to doing things within film. It also challenges conventions because it was made in a real world setting without having control of outside variables unlike most professional commercials that are props made to give it that specific setting or scenery. The product can represent some social groups because some believe that if you do not have these then you are considered “broke” which is not true, but it could represent them. Some issues that this can solve would be the issue that you are not able to carry a pair of earbuds with you and these would be able to allow someone to do that easily.
