Today, I am excited to show you my final product!

It's Complete!

Today I am excited to say that my project is complete and ready to show off to the world. I am so excited for people to see it as I worked very hard to get it done. I hope the time, effort, and energy I spent on this is reflected in the product and I hope you will agree. I am proud of the work I did and felt it is the best production I have done yet. The filming techniques I used expanded over the time of filming. This film has a more mature sense to it than previous ones. I think this is because of the topic and view I went with for this film. I went with a more mature topic that gave me the opportunity to act mature and work well with the topic of my film. The topic of the film is something that I have very common knowledge about since it interests me overall. I hope this comes off on video as that was my goal. I definitely learned a lot more about the film industry than I think I ever would have from doing this project. It expanded my knowledge and view of the industry and I now und

Turning On to the Final Stretch

Today, I made the suggestions that were suggested by the multiple people that I had peer reviewed my film. I started by speaking on the phone with each person for about twenty to thirty minutes. Even though I had timestamps and issues they found, I thought it was good to have them go through it with me to find new issues again and see if their issues were resolved in real-time. So, I did a video call using my laptop and screen shared my screen so they were able to see all of the changes I was making in real-time. So, I showed them the title changes I made when I continued to edit a few days ago. They commented that it was better but still said that it could be improved with some changes. They said that the title did not match the length of the scene even though I spent some time trying to get it right. So, we reviewed it at 0.25x speed and noticed the difference. I saw at that point just how big the difference was. I knew it would be worse seeing it at a slower pace but I did not thin

Making Some More Chnages

Today I continued to edit my film as after having others and myself review it, I felt it still needed work. So, made some edits that needed to be made that were not suggested by the others. I first started off by going to Premier Pro as I needed to deal with audio for this because I noticed the audio was not lining up correctly and it was easier than iMovie. I then had to extract the audio from a few of the scenes and line it up correctly with the visual. This was harder than it seemed because it easily did want to let me change the audio around. After some time I found out that it was due to me having the sound frozen that it would not let me move it so I had to go and change that and then it let me change it. After changing it I had to go back and listen to it to make sure the audio lined up correctly. This took a few tries because the audio would be just a few milliseconds off but it was noticeable enough for me. After a few tries, I was finally able to have that done. The next thin

Wrap Up and Show Off

Today, I finished editing the film and showed it off to send it to my mom's business partner's daughter to critique my film. Today I had to do the majority of my editing. I had to finish the titles and the transitions between scenes. This I found to be more difficult than I thought for the titles because I did not want them to continue past a specific transition and iMovie that I was using was not saving the work when I pressed save for the time of the titles. After some time I had to lose the work that I did so far and had to repeat it once I opened it back up and did those again. This took a lot of my time wasted as the time it takes to insert a title is one of the more complicated tasks. Once I got the film back to where it was before, I then proceeded to go and do the transitions between the scenes which were way easier than expected. The transitions between the slides had many different types. There were jump cuts, morphing transitions, and a few others. Overall, at this p

Beginning to Piece it all Together

Today I began to put my film together by editing. Today, I focused on making sure what editing software I will be using and to get comfortable with using it. I have used a couple different editing softwares in the past and I wanted to choose which one I am going to use for this film. My top two choices was iMovie from Apple or Premier Pro from Adobe. I have used both of these platforms before multiple times and have found they are both good at different aspects. So, I took a 20 second clip of my film and put it into each of the platforms to see how each works again to get me failiarized with each platform. I took the 20 second clip, shortened it, added some audio, and put some titles in it. As I continued to do this, I was becoming more familiarized with both platforms and eahc showed off their strong suites. I decided the best choice was to play into the strong suites of each of the platforms that I had available to me. I found iMovie was better for inserting audio and inserting titi
